TRADITION is a 49’ Custom Game fishing boat, built by master boat builder Dick Ward of Cairns Boat Builders. Launched late 1999 and used as a private boat until the 2005 Cairns season. As this boat was built primarily as a private boat, it has had no expense spared in its build and fitout by its 3 owners to date. Current owner since Oct 2004.

Construction

Full composite construction using Divynicel l/ Corecell for core with full epoxy resin and a layer of Kevlar on both sides for the core for impact strength. The only wood used in this boat is for trim.

2 x MTU 6R183TE93 600hp (441 kw) main engines approx 4500 hrs. Fully maintained and serviced since new by McLeod Engineering in Cairns and captain.(Mechanical Engineer and MED 2)
